Katica Illényi – Merit of Hungary, Franz Liszt prize awarded violinist, member of the Hungarian Arts Academy, the only Hungarian performer who plays theremin – gives her jubilee concert at the Congress Center on 17th of February, 2018.
It is going to be a special day, because Katica will celebrate her birthday and the 25th anniversary of her career on that day. Another specialty of this day is that fantastic performers are invited, who will give us a wonderful artistic experience with their professional knowledge and their popularity.
Anikó Illényi, first cellist of the Winterthur Musikkollegium and Csaba Illényi violinist has got his degree in Vienna, will also perform. Guest performers are Katica Illényi’s personal friends, like Péter Sárik, pianist, the jazz musician of this year, Andrea Bencsik costume designer & flamenco dancer.
Conductor is István Silló, Music Director of the National Theater in Győr, Hungary.
Pieces of national composers, classical music in authentic form, violin, piano and theremin, tango and the light and jazz music, national and world famous music are all part of the colorful program. The artists will perform individually or together, there will be surprising formations with vocal and orchestral accompaniment and they will create a wonderful atmosphere with the joy of playing music.
The aim of Katica Illényi is to resupply the classical music audience, to present Hungarian composers and to contribute to the society’s musical education through classical music.
The concert is going to be recorded.
