The Felczak albums show in the most universal language, music, that the friendship between the Polish and Hungarian people is rooted in emotions, thinking and common values rooted in the historical past. This will ensure that this friendship, which is an example for the whole of Europe, will continue to live on in the future and be enriched with new content.<\/p>

Wac\u0142aw Felczak (1916-1993), a history student at the University of Pozna\u0144, was a scholarship student at the E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Collegium in the academic year 1938\/39. In May 1940 he returned to Budapest as a soldier in the Polish underground army. From 1942, as deputy commander of the Home Army's courier base in Budapest, he was responsible for liaising between the Polish government in London and its Home Office in Warsaw. He remained faithful to his military oath after 1945: he continued the resistance. Arrested in 1949 and sentenced to life imprisonment, he was released in part thanks to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. From 1958, as a teacher at the Institute of History at the Jagello University in Krakow, he wrote several books on Hungarian subjects (for example, The History of Hungary). His professionalism and moral fibre made him a role model for the students.<\/p>

He is the eponym of the Wac\u0142aw Felczak Foundation, whose aim and mission is to pass on the tradition of Hungarian-Polish friendship between generations and to broaden the social basis of cooperation between the Hungarian and Polish nations.<\/p>

The Felczak albums series is a series of Polish-Hungarian albums, created with Polish-Hungarian collaboration and content, in six genres (classical - folk; jazz - contemporary; world - light), which show in the most universal language and music that the friendship between the two peoples has been based on the most basic instincts, ways of thinking and shared values for centuries.
